North German youth choir records Faure's religious music in its entirety!Under the direction of Keno Weber, artistic director from 2014 to 2021, the Springe Kyrisma Youth Choir, known as the leading youth choir in North Germany, has recorded Faure's religious music in its entirety for the first time. The project began in 2018 when they sang Fauré's Requiem for the first time at a "Totensonntag" (Sunday of the Dead) service. fascinated by the intimacy, tonal harmony, and instrumental vibrancy of the 1888/89 version of the Requiem, they decided to make the recording. Rondeau Produktion shared this idea, and the proposal to record the entire religious music developed into a major project.The recording schedule was finally fixed and concrete, but was interrupted by the expansion of Covid-19 at the beginning of 2020, but through a series of outdoor and online rehearsals with a small group of musicians, all members kept their passion burning, and finally, in August/September 2021, the recording was completed. Between 1877 and 1905, Fauré composed almost all of the religious music for the parish church "La Madeleine" in Paris, including the famous Requiem, and conducted the boys' choir of "La Madeleine" himself. The young singers of the Springe Chirisma Youth Choir will beautifully express the whole picture of Fauré's religious music with their fresh voices. Tokyo M-Plus
