These symphonies are masterpieces with a historical background that Beethoven composed at the same time and once premiered at the same time. This album maximizes the transparency and dynamism unique to wind instruments while remaining conscious of the historical background, providing a fresh musical experience that is different from the orchestral versions. Beethoven's famous melodies and dramatic expressions resonate naturally and powerfully in a brass band configuration. Founded in 2002 by Hansjörg Angeler, the Salzburg Wind Philharmonic is one of Europe's leading professional wind ensembles.The Mozarteum Orchestra and the Salzburg State Theater Orchestra, as well as the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, and other world-class orchestras, are members of this international ensemble, which has long been led by concertmaster Wenzel Fuchs, principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic. Wenzel Fuchs, Principal Clarinet of the Berlin Philharmonic, has served as concertmaster for many years. The ensemble is known for its pursuit of excellence in the art of wind music while maintaining the traditions of Vienna-Salzburg, and has won high acclaim in Europe and elsewhere. The repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music, and the group has released numerous CDs and DVDs.
