In recent years, he has garnered significant attention as a composer who carries on the tradition of late 19th-century German Romanticism into the modern era. The three works included here are also entirely in the style of late Romanticism. Naoshi Takahashi serves as music director of the orchestra in Aue, a town in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) region of western Germany, near the Czech border; this is his third CD.
