Strauss were composed in 1887 and completed in 1888, and are incomparably beautiful works by R. Strauss, youthful and full of life. The sparkling piano of Spanish pianist Jos de Solaun (first prize winner at the 13th Jorge Enesco International Piano Competition) is also brilliant. Shostakovich's only violin sonata is dedicated to David Oistrakh on his 60th birthday. It is a masterpiece from a period when the style of his later years was simplified and the deep tragedy of life and the philosophical nature of thought were pursued. This large-scale, spiritually rich work, which is in keeping with the art of its dedicatee, Oistrakh, is also known as one of the most technically demanding pieces of music.Peach gives a very soulful and passionate performance. In addition to the excellence of the performance, you will enjoy the high quality of the recording by audite's owner and tone-meister Rutger Beckenhof. ＜Born in East Germany, Francesca Pietsch was introduced to the violin by her father at the age of five and made her debut at the Komische Oper Berlin at the age of eleven. She studied with Werner Scholz at the Hans Eisler Music Academy Berlin and with Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School in New York. She also studied with Ruggiero Ricci to hone her individuality as a violinist. As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras throughout Europe and with conductors such as Antoni Vito, Moshe Atzmon, Julia Jones, Toshiyuki Ueoka, and George Hanson.From 1998 to 2002, he was the first concertmaster of the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, and as a founding member of the Trio Testore, he worked on major piano trios, releasing the complete piano trios of Brahms (AU 91668). Later, with Detlef Eisinger, he released the complete Grieg Violin Sonatas (AU 97707), Prokofiev Violin Sonatas Nos. 1 & 2 and 5 Melodies (AU 97722), Frank Violin Sonatas & Szymanowski's Myths (KKC 5924 / AU 97726). releases. In 2018, he also released Prokofiev's Violin Concertos No. 1 & 2 (AU 97733) and a series of solo violin works by Bartok, Prokofiev, and Ysaye (KKC 5988 / AU 97758), all of which have been well received.
