While rooted in traditional Vietnamese music, the album incorporates diverse elements such as soul, funk, psychedelic, jazz, and Latin to present a unique brand of “global pop.” The album actively incorporates traditional instruments such as the T’rung and Sao Truc, and features guest appearances by master musicians like Tran Minh Tuan. It is packed with highlights, including “LyQuaDub,” which evokes the musical connections between Vietnam and its neighboring regions, and “ChachachaNgayTho,” which strongly reflects the band’s affinity for Latin music. The entire album was recorded and mixed analog at InTheBox Studios in Saigon. Combining a rich vintage sound with a contemporary sensibility, this highly anticipated release symbolizes the ever-evolving Vietnamese music scene. It marks a new milestone for the band, which has also garnered attention for providing music to *007 First Light* and various documentary films.
