Berlin Philharmonic, trumpet player! Andre Schoch's solo album! Es-Dur, Germany, is proud to present a solo album by André Schoch, a master trumpeter of the Berlin Philharmonic. André Schoch has studied with some of the world's greatest trumpeters, including Matthias Hefs, Reinhold Friedrich, Klaus Breker, and Gabor Tarkevi, and was principal trumpet player of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Hamburg State Philharmonic before joining the Berlin Philharmonic in 2017. In 2017, he moved to the Berlin Philharmonic. As a chamber musician, he is also remarkably active as a member of the brass ensemble "10 for Brass" and the duo Schoch/Horlcke. He is also a regular participant in Germany's leading world-class brass ensemble, German Brass. As a pedagogue, he is also active in teaching younger students at the Karajan Academy and the Mannheim College of Music. This album is a collection of five concertos written in the 18th century, which he says have been his favorites since childhood.The title "CORE (nucleus)" refers to the soul of the sound Schoch wants to express with his instrument, the heart and "core" of his repertoire of works.
