Mozart Matinee by the brilliant Ronquig, piano player and pianist Alexander Ronquig, born in Trier, Germany in 1960, performed a Mozart Matinee at the Mozarteum in 2009. After studying with Badura-Skoda, Andrzej Jasinski (known for producing Zimmermann and serving as president of the jury for the Chopin Competition), and Hungarian virtuoso Ilonka Deckers-Kusler, Ronquig was 16 years old and was a student of the Italian He has earned acclaim for his wide-ranging repertoire from classical to contemporary music as a pianist, and has also performed chamber music with Christian Tetzlaff and Veronika Hagen.In recent years, Ronquich has led chamber orchestras such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, and Mantova Chamber Orchestra in Austria and Italy in frequent concerts of Mozart concertos. He is said to be a brilliant conductor who also performs Mozart's orchestral works and conducts his own orchestra with soloists.
