Krutyshev, highest prize winner in the piano category at the 13th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2007, makes his Orfeo debut! Liszt's Superlative Exercises Born in Leningrad, Russia in 1985, Miroslav Krutyshev is a gem, winning the highest prize in the piano category (second without first prize) at the 13th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2007. He has already appeared at the Musikvereinsaal in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and Avery Fisher Hall in New York, as well as at numerous music festivals as a favorite of the great master Walery Gergiev. Currently a student at the Petersburg Conservatory, Krutyshev makes his Orfeo debut playing Liszt's superb Etudes. He has been refining his virtuoso skills, including Nos. 4, 9, and 12, which he played in the qualifying round of the Tchaikovsky Competition, where he stunned the audience. ［Comment courtesy of King International.]
