Following the Schumann Concerto and Brahms 3 live performance with the Cologne Radio Symphony Orchestra (ORFEOR.724071), this is a rare live performance of the German master, Kilebert. The Schumann concert with the brilliant and youthful Goulda alone was a great satisfaction, and the Brahms concerto was an even greater treat. The second Brahms with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (live in 1966, ORFEOR.553011) thrilled fans, and the melody of the third Brahms is also very appealing, with its full and emotional singing. It is interesting to see the difference in approach between the two, as Klemperer's performance of the same piece, also with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, will be released at the same time.
