After several years of negotiations with Hänssler, the secret recording has finally been released on CD! Knappertsbusch conducted the Stuttgart Radio Orchestra in the All Brahms Concert. Knappertsbusch conducted the Stuttgart Radio Orchestra in an all-Brahms concert. The Haydn Variations and the Third Symphony are all Knappertsbusch's favorites. The Haydn Variations were a masterful performance of epic grandeur, completely different in dimension from any other performance of Haydn's works. The Third Symphony, the last of the eight recordings, is also a superb performance, awe-inspiring in its immense energy and deeply moving in its richness. Each is full of Kuna's signature emotion.This is a collection of Stuttgart broadcast recordings, and the sound is of course excellent, making this a hot disc for fall 2007!
