Every Technique Is Linked to Physicality Kluger’s music sometimes takes the form of works with extremely diverse structures and instrumentation, while at other times it manifests as multisensory expressions that fuse sound, visuals, and movement, or as pure electronic music. However, despite this diversity that defies categorization, his works exhibit several key consistencies. One of these is the physicality of his musical language, which is closely linked to the performer’s abilities. *rosebud*, which also serves as the album title, can be seen as the culmination of this approach. Written for a dancer, motion sensors, and live electronics, it was created in collaboration with dancer Victor Vilno at the renowned IRCAM in Paris. The choreography is closely intertwined with the live electronics process. The dancer is embodied as a hybrid of human and machine—a sort of “extended” musician, so to speak. WERGO
