German composer Enno Poppe (1969-), who has been regularly releasing on WERGO two pieces by Poppe, a leader in the field of contemporary German music, who skillfully handles any orchestration to create new sensory music that is both natural and eloquent. This release features two pieces of new sensory music with two unusual orchestrations. Both are first-time recordings, and "Prozession" is a live performance of the premiere. Fleisch" is a work with an unusual classical composition of tenor saxophone, electric guitar, keyboards, and drums, and it is a work of great interest only possible with the Ensemble Nikel, a group with unusual abilities that works with this composition. The first movement, in which the players repeatedly produce instantaneous sounds in uneven succession, is extremely unique. Poppe's favorite Mogg synthesizer adds a nice touch.
