When Herzki’s music was first released in the 1970s, it was discussed in terms of anxiety and panic, and critics described it as eccentric and unstable. One of the key elements in Herzki’s works is “time.” “When I think of war, I think of the various ‘times’ experienced there. The time felt by a fighter pilot, the time when a bomb explodes on the ground... These various differences in the perception of time, all occurring in a single place, form the core of my compositions” (Herzki’s words). In her works, these sensations vary widely—from time that feels devoid of a pulse to time that accelerates or decelerates. Furthermore, the spatial expanse of sound is highly flexible—ranging from the weightlessness of outer space to extremely confined spaces. To express Hertzki’s world, the organ—an instrument that makes full use of space—is the perfect choice. This new album guarantees a complete immersion in Hertzki’s unique world! King International
