This Logos Fragmente is a large scale work with words. It is based on various texts, including the New Testament (Gospel of John) and the Talmud (Hebrew scripture) passed down among the Jewish people. This work is unique in Zehnder's pursuit of the relationship between sound and words, with instrumentalists symmetrically divided into four groups and 32 vocalists. It is a large orchestra with a full percussion section and two pianos tuned out of tune. Sometimes even a guitar joins the orchestra. The style gives the impression of being somewhat difficult to understand, but the words and music come together as one and approach the listener. King International
