Description:
Endless symphonic energy! Henze's bombastic "Symphonic Invasion"! Henze, the great German symphonist of the 20th century, wrote 10 symphonies and made a name for himself. His last symphony, No. 10, was written in 2000, the year we entered the 21st century. A year later, when the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra commissioned an orchestral work to commemorate Henze's 75th birthday, he composed "Symphonic Invasion. The piece, which is accompanied by a variety of percussion instruments, is a whirlwind of tremendous destructive force and energy, and although it is only 15 minutes long, its intensity is overwhelming, the same as "The Rite of Spring," with a rock-like impact. Although he never wrote a new symphony, Henze's symphonic drive for expression seems to have remained unabated in the 21st century. The Antiphona" was dedicated to Karajan and premiered by the Berlin Philharmonic. The piece employs a detailed and rigorous tone line technique, with strings, winds, and percussion instruments intricately calling to each other. The tension in this piece is unbearable.Piano Concerto No. 1 was written when Henze was 24 years old. Although Henze recalls that he was under the influence of Schoenberg at the time, the lively compositions with a feast of dance-like rhythms are unique to Henze and draw the listener in quickly.
