Unknown cantatas from early 17th century Germany Johann Samuel Werther World premiere recording Eeco la Musica, led by viol player Heike Hummer and sackbut player Matthias Sprinz, has been presenting the rich musical heritage of the early 17th century since its establishment in 1987, with vocal and The sample of the proposed ancient music with instrumental music. Johann Samuel Werther is a musician who served as organist at St. Michael's Church in Schwäbisch Hul for 45 years. He was also given positions in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Augsburg, and is said to have written over 400 works during his lifetime, although only a dozen or so cantatas are extant. Here we have five cantatas (all recorded for the first time in the world) by Werther, who is considered the most important musician between Praetorius and J.S. Bach in the history of chorale cantatas, as well as various instrumental pieces from the same period. Tokyo M-Plus
