In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Yardbirds' debut, this 4CD set contains their complete BBC appearances from 1965 to 1968, completely remastered and featuring 28 previously unreleased tracks. DISC.4 is from the Jimmy Page era. The Yardbirds' BBC material has been released several times before, but the previously unreleased tracks on this 4CD set have not been heard since their broadcasts, and almost all of the other material has been significantly upgraded in quality, or at least improved over the previously released material. Edited by Chris Welch, each track is accompanied by detailed session notes, including detailed broadcast information by BBC historian Ashley Wood.This is a definitive collection of BBC recordings of the Yardbirds' raw and overwhelming performances, including miraculous masterpieces such as "Jeff's Boogie," "White Summer," "Dazed And Confused," and "Train Kept A Rollin" that seem to be packed with the atmosphere of the time.
