Description:
Johannes Plamzoller's new recording! Johannes Plamzoller is one of the first violinists of the new generation who studied with Pogger. Johannes Plamzoller, the first baroque violinist of the new generation who studied with Poggia! This ambitious program explores the origins in France of the "violin concertos" introduced from Italy! Johannes Plamzoller, a baroque violinist of the "21st Century Generation" from South Tyrol to the world, is a young virtuoso who presides over the Ensemble Diderot and the International Baroque Players, and is a member of his teacher Rachel Podger's Brecon Baroque. In 2013, he launched his own label, Audax.A new concerto album with Ensemble Diderot (named after Denis Diderot, a thinker and philosopher of the 18th century French Age of Enlightenment), which Plumzoller formed in 2008 and has unearthed a diverse repertoire of 17th and 18th century Baroque trio sonatas! This is a good reminder of how the new music of the violin concerto, which came to France as an import from Italy like the sonata and opera buffa, was accepted in France. The Italian style was not fully accepted, and for almost a century there was a debate over whether, how, and to what extent to mix Italian and French taste. The album features works from Jacques Aubert's collection of violin concertos, the first published by a French composer in 1730; a concerto by Jean-Badiste Cantin (his brother), published a few years later; a brilliant concerto by André-Joseph Exode, a violinist at the Paris Opera and the Concert Spirituel André-Joseph Exode's brilliant concerto, and Michel Collet's "Concerto Comique," written as interlude music for a comedy française. From the works of Jean-Marie Leclerc, the master who was also called the "French Corelli" for his brilliant fusion of Italian and French taste, we have a selection of works not from the still popular collection of 12 concertos (Op.7 and Op.10), but from works discovered separately by the Berlin Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Stockholm Music and Theater Library (Op.10), and from the "Concerto Comique" by Michel Corlette, which was written for the intermission of a comedy française. It is also noteworthy that the works (ideas from Op. 10-4, for example, are used all over again) are included in the collection. Tokyo M-Plus
