Plamzoller and Ensemble Diderot, who have been remarkably active in various parts of the world, including a collaboration with his teacher Rachel Podger at the Brecon Baroque and an excellent performance on the famous instrument inherited from Reinhard Goebel, present the world premiere recording of Mondonwille's "Trio Sonatas, Op.2"! Jean-Joseph de Mondonville (1711-1772) was a French musician of the 18th century, known for his eponymous "Grand Motets" and the technical "Violin Sonata Op.1". Despite his outstanding compositional skills, Mondonville's "Trio Sonata Op.2" has never had the opportunity to see the light of day. Like Leclerc's "Trio Sonata Op.4," it is an undiscovered masterpiece that should be a symbol of the fusion of French and Italian music.Plamzoller, a master violinist of the 21st century, and Mondonville of 18th century France.
