A poet of the piano, Dulcet paints Schumann with a touch of extreme delicacy, Liszt Jean-Baptiste Dulcet, born in 1992, is a pianist, improviser, and composer. He studied piano and chamber music with Claire Deserre and improvisation with Thierry Esqueche at the Conservatoire National de Paris, and in 2019 is a notable winner of the Fourth Prize and Audience Prize at the Ron-Thibault Competition and the Modern Times (New Music) Prize at the Clara Haskil Competition. As a composer, he has composed and published about 20 chamber and instrumental works. Dulce's program this time includes Romantic works heavily influenced by "poetry. The delicate, rippling piano of "Spring Night," Liszt's arrangement of Schumann's song, is astonishingly beautiful. It is noteworthy that Liszt's "Dante Sonata" and his own work, which he considers as an introduction to Liszt's work, are recorded in succession. The "Dante Sonata" by Liszt is not only superbly crafted, but also overwhelmingly descriptive, as if a scene were floating beautifully before your eyes.While the Dante Sonata begins on a descending scale, Dulce's work begins on an ascending scale, with beautiful harmonies that evoke the echoes of the heavenly world, as Keats's poem speaks of beauty and the divine world.
