Nuebrugge (piano), Yuhaku Nemoto (horn)... The latest recording of Messiaen's "From the Canyon to the Stars," featuring a splendid lineup of soloists, is now available. This is a large-scale work, consisting of 12 pieces in three parts, with a playing time of over 90 minutes, and requiring five percussionists and keyboard instruments in addition to the orchestra. There are also movements for horn solo and piano solo, and in this recording, world-class players take charge of the soloists. In this recording, a world-class soloist takes charge of the solo part, bringing out 120% of the work's charm. The orchestral tone is also very varied. This is an excellent recording that will immerse you in a sound world that will make you feel anew the beauty of the earth as depicted by Messiaen!
