Description:

A captivating tone that combines power and delicacy of expression. The program includes Beethoven and Vasquez with the English Chamber Orchestra conducted by Ken-David Mazur, son of Kurt Mazur. The performance was bursting with the delicate beauty and yet powerful tone that is the charm of Clamaziran. The careful orchestration of the English Chamber Orchestra led by Ken-David Mazur supported Clamagirand's music in the shadow and in the sun, creating a dense ensemble. The orchestra's performance of Beethoven's "Beethoven" was full of willful intensity, and the serene world of Vasquez's "Vasquez" was supported by the orchestra's superb technique. Vasks' "Distant Light" was commissioned by the Salzburg Festival in 1997. It was premiered by Gidon Kremer and the newly formed Kremerata Baltica (August 10). The performance lasts about 30 minutes, and the movements are played seamlessly. It is a profound work, beginning with a somber meditation on the eternal beauty of the universe, followed by the cacophony of human madness, and ending with a return to the silence of the opening movement.Fanny Clamazirand was born in Paris in 1984, started playing the violin at the age of 7, entered the Master's program at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris in 2000, where she studied with Jean-Jacques Kantoroff. In 2005, he won the first prize at the Fritz Kreisler International Competition, and in 2007, he was awarded the "Marquis Regnier III de Monaco Prize" (first prize) at the Monte Carlo Violin Masters. He has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The instrument used is a Matteo Goffriller from 1700. Ken-David Mazur was born in 1977 and has been Music Director of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra since the 2019/20 season. He has previously worked with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony, among others, and with the Yomiuri Symphony in 2015. He is a talented artist whose future activities are expected to become even more promising. King International
