He is a virtuoso who brings a vivid perspective to works in a variety of styles—not only J.S. Bach’s music but also Elizabethan music, French Baroque, and Scarlatti. Marc Antay graduated at the top of his class from the Royal Conservatory of Belgium in 1986 and studied under Bartold Kuijken. He has served as concertmaster for orchestras that have led the early music scene, such as the Concert des Nations and the Chapelle Royale, and is a renowned musician who has visited Japan frequently. In a very relaxed atmosphere, the Antay brothers once again present to the listener the charm of these works, which are filled with beautiful, widely beloved melodies.
