He won the second prize for composition and the first prize for conducting at the Prix de Rome in 1927, and left many masterpieces, especially in the field of wind instruments, such as "Trombone Concerto", "Horn Concerto", "Trumpet Concerto", and "Saxophone Concerto". The world's first complete collection of works for solo piano by Henri Tomasi (1901-1971), a great French composer of the 20th century who left many masterpieces, especially for wind instruments, such as the "Horn Concerto", "Trumpet Concerto", and "Saxophone Concerto". The rich colors, dramatic development, and beautiful lyricism of his works for wind instruments are still present in his piano works. The works can be likened to a kaleidoscope of humor, virtuosity, passion, and tenderness. Emily Capre, who plays Tomasi's piano works, is a female pianist and head of classical performance in the music department of the University of West London.
