Volume 148 of the series features "La Gioconda" by Anita Cerchetti, who has been called a "visionary soprano"! With her rare talent and overwhelming singing ability, Anita Cerchetti was said to be on a par with Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi, but since she retired at the young age of 30, few commercial recordings remain, and with the exception of "La Gioconda," this is the only aria collection of her work available.
