AOR~Soul~Fusion AOR~Soul~Fusion private pressing by JAYE P. MORGAN, a rare popular singer/jazz vocalist/actress active since the 50's, produced (probably for the first time) by DAVID FOSTER, who was just starting out at that time. Although produced by SOUND CITY STUDIOS, it was released on an obscure indie label, CANDOR RECORDS, as a Cat #001, and for some reason the label soon went out of business. This is an extremely rare album that is coveted by AOR fans, and is sought after by enthusiasts with a keen eye. Among them, "Can't Hide Love," a cover of Earth, Wind & Fire's 1975 song "Can't Hide Love," which David Foster would later join in "I Am" in 1979, is known as one of the ultimate songs, and has been used by DJs as a floor-ready song.DAVID FOSTER on keyboards, strings & horn arrangements, and production; JAY GRAYDON and RAY PARKER on guitars; JEFF PORCARO on drums; DAVID HUNGATE on bass; STEVE FORMAN on percussion; ERNIE WATTS on saxophone; GEORGE BOHANAN, LEW MCCREARY WATTS on trombone, GEORGE BOHANAN and LEW MCCREARY on trumpet, CHUCK FINDLEY on trumpet, DONNY GERARD and BILL CHAMPLIN on backing chorus. A funk/soul/jazz slow jam with a dream lineup that will make AOR fans swoon. This is a masterful performance with respect for the original version and a wonderful soul/jazz/funk feel. Other songs included "HERE IS WHERE YOUR LOVE BELONGS" from the pen of BILL CHAMPLIN, which was performed by SONS OF CHAMPLIN in the same year and later covered by MARIA MULDAUR and POINTER SISTERS; "I FALL IN LOVE EVERYDAY" with HARRY GARFIELD/JAY GRAYDON's "I FALL IN LOVE EVERYDAY", AVERAGE WHITE BAND's "KEEPIN' IT TO MYSELF", STEVIE WONDER's "IT'S BEEN SO LONG", MARVIN GAYE & TAMMI TERRELL's "YOU 'RE ALL I NEED TO GET BY" cover, "IT ALL GOES ROUND" from the pen of DAVID FOSTER, and the soulful voice of JAYE P. MORGAN with perfect white soul essence and California breezy feel. The album is a true gem.
