StandHighPatrol’s latest album is here! This ambitious release features talented artists such as Joe Yorke, Nazamba, and Jah Thomas, and also includes remixes by Mad Professor, Androo, and Jeanville! Dub and house music—two cultures that emerged outside the mainstream music industry and have evolved independently. At their core lie dance, sound systems, and the presence of minorities, driven by a shared spirit fueled by independence and creativity. From the Jamaican sound systems of the late 1960s, through Chicago’s Warehouse scene, and on to the New York house scene of the early 1980s, house, reggae, and dub have evolved while sharing many commonalities—collective action, a spirit of resistance, and a musicality that connects directly from the studio to the dance floor. Against this historical backdrop, StandHighPatrol presents “Skanking & Jacking.” This album breaks new ground by revealing a previously unexplored facet of the Dubadub sound. Crafted for dancers and DJs, it fuses house beats with the dynamic grooves of reggae, venturing into uncharted territory. Comprising 12 extended tracks, the album features a meticulous interweaving of house, reggae, and dub. By weaving subtle variations into an immersive, loop-based soundscape, it creates an organic texture. This soundscape, born from the interaction between human and machine, goes beyond a mere fusion of genres; it represents an attempt to pioneer a new musical universe. Furthermore, the album draws attention not only for its sound but also for its diverse lineup of international artists. Vocalists, producers, and MCs from countries including the UK, Italy, Switzerland, and Jamaica have come together to bring further depth and interactivity to the work. With contributions from the likes of JoeYorke, MarinaP, Nazamba, and JahThomas, each artist’s unique personality flexibly expands the contours of the album. StandHighPatrol remains committed to a spirit of constant change. This album, *Skanking & Jacking*, pays homage to its roots while concluding with remixes by Jeanville, Androo, and the legendary Mad Professor. It is released as a work that showcases where they stand today, as they continue to evolve.
