A collection of chamber works by Victor Karabis with Kremer and Kremerata Baltica! In 1997, at the age of 50, Gidon Kremer, a violin virtuoso from Riga, Latvia, gathered young musicians from the Baltic countries to form Kremerata Baltica. They have performed in over 600 cities in more than 50 countries, giving a total of more than 1,000 concerts. They have performed with renowned musicians in many cities and have been invited to the BBC Proms, and are considered one of the most prominent ensembles in Europe. The ensemble, which has a very wide repertoire and a strong interest in contemporary works, will be performing three important works for strings written by Victor Karabis (1923-2006), a 20th century Czech composer who will celebrate his 100th birthday in 2023. In their recording activities, they have accumulated great achievements, including a Grammy Award for "After Mozart" in 2002, ECHO Klassik 2016, and the Gramophone Prize 2020, and this new notable addition to their discography.
