Composer Vivian Fine was an American composer from Chicago. For a time, she studied under Henry Cowell as a private student. Over the course of her career spanning more than 70 years, she composed approximately 140 works. Her compositional style is diverse, ranging from works in the French Impressionist style to those employing the twelve-tone technique. This album is a compilation of her major chamber music works.
