Master Piccolo Player Jean-Louis Beaumadier Performs Mozart's Flute and Oboe Concertos on Piccolo! Jean-Louis Beaumadier is a French virtuoso piccolo player who has been working hard to expand and spread the repertoire of this instrument as a leading piccolo player. He studied at the Conservatoire de Marseille and the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris under renowned professors, and has performed with the world's greatest conductors to raise the piccolo's profile. His performance with the Chamber Soloists is also fresh in our memories. His new releases of note are Mozart concertos! In addition to the Oboe Concerto and Flute Concerto No. 1, he plays Andante K.315 and Rondo K.373 on piccolo. Performing with him will be the Vienna Classical Players, conducted by Vahan Mardirossian, with whom Beaumadier has built a strong relationship of trust. This recording proves that Beaumadier's current fullness is demonstrated by the lightness of his playing in the high register of the piccolo.The "World Piccolo" series, which is being recorded to cover the entire piccolo repertoire, is highly acclaimed for its one-of-a-kind project that includes not only world premiere recordings of original works, but also numerous new commissions by composers from around the world.
