The Trio Vandaller, formed in 1987, continues to pursue the finest in piano trio music, and continues to develop the highest dimension of music in the piano trio ensemble for the listener. Their 2000 recording of Schubert's Piano Trios is now available again (previously released on LDC 2781132 and HMC 902002 (both out of print)). The trio Vandaller is a triumvirate of musicians, each one of whom is a master of his or her craft. The music of these three musicians is natural and beautiful in its horizontal flow. It is the fruit of their mutual recognition of each other's musicality and their thorough knowledge of each other's musicality. The famous melody at the beginning of the second movement of Trio No. 2, which was also used in "Barry Lyndon," is heartrendingly beautiful. King International
