Bayet & Re-Inconvenience's latest release of 2018, a joyful collection of Haydn concertos by Amandine Bayet, a leading figure in the Baroque violin world, and the ensemble she founded, Re-Inconvenience, a joyful collection of Haydn concertos. All were written in the 1760s, shortly after Haydn entered Esterházy's service in 1761. At that time, Haydn was always emphasizing how good a composer and instrumentalist he was. Indeed, the works of this period, including the concertos such as the one presented here, show the trajectory of a brilliant artist who created a new musical dialogue from the Gallant style to what would later become known as the classical style. These works are relatively large for a re-inconcertation (but similar in size to Esterházy's wonderful orchestra), but their intimate ensemble is still present here.Every moment of the performance is one in which the players are truly enjoying themselves, and you can feel their happy smiles even in the rests.
