Performed with the Munich Chamber Orchestra, this 3-CD set includes the Beethoven Piano Concertos No. 1 through No. 5, the first of which was recorded by Alexander Lonkwig. Produced by Manfred Eicher. Alexander Lonkwig's performances as soloist & conductor have been highly acclaimed by media and audiences worldwide. In addition to the Munich Chamber Orchestra, he regularly performs with the Camerata Salzburg, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Basel Chamber Orchestra, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, and Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, and is also a dedicated chamber musician.He made his ECM debut in 2002 with the album "Odradek" and has since released "Plainte Calme" featuring French composers, a CD featuring the music of Schumann and Heinz Holliger, and a Schubert CD with violinist Caroline Wittmann.
