BLACK VALLEY MINI LP", a tribute to the historic Black Bottom/Paradise Valley area of Detroit! Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, and many other greats. This album was recorded at Motorcity Wine in June 2024.The dynamic and soulful performance is backed by an ensemble composed of the generous skills of Detroit's finest players and the vibrant energy of the audience. From interplay consisting of intense solos and tight rhythms to cool, introspective moments, the original compositions continue to move forward with overwhelming conviction. It is a recording that not only proves that Allen Dennard's talent is extraordinary, but that it also reveals a new musical renaissance that is currently underway in the Motor City.
