Description:
Sludge violence OiDAKi from Sendai, formed in 2010, EP for 2025. The EP was released 3 years later than planned as a result of member changes, marriage, childbirth, career change, and independence, as well as attempts to coexist in life and music. The new ingredients are injected into the bluesy sound of the past, while the junky but straight style of injecting sludge core and grind remains unchanged. When you immerse yourself in the music, you are in a paradise. The paper jacket is designed to give you a refreshing feeling after listening to the album. From the independent label ""Otoso Records"". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've been waiting for OiDAKi's sound source. I listened to it at the end of my part-time job. OiDAKi is straight. The sound is so distorted, yet the rhythms are so strange and the development is so different, The rhythms are bizarre, and the development changes rapidly, but everything is geared toward a good feeling. I think it's because everything is geared toward a pleasant feeling. It's a touch that they cherish, a touch that no one else can discover. Everything has meaning, so it resonates straight away. How cool. I am very happy. When you get older, there are many things that happen, It is sometimes hard to listen to music and play music. But when you go ahead and try, you sometimes feel that urge that you used to feel in the old days, and it blows up in you with a bang. I feel this when I listen to this music. It is aggressive, yet humorous and lighthearted. The cathartic blast beat from the jam is warm and pleasant despite the intense tone. It's really cool, and it slowly sinks in. I am very happy. I am so happy that my sympathetic friend has released such a badass soundtrack. Keigo Yuda ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I guess it depends on each person, but even though various technologies have advanced, profit and efficiency are still important in today's Japan, which is hardly an easy place to spend time. After a day of work or study, what is the thing or activity that brings you comfort or pleasure? It may be alcohol or jiro, a sauna bath or gambling, but there are also some abnormal people like myself who find pleasure in out-of-the-ordinary sounds. OiDAKi, a four-piece from Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, formed in 2010, whose musicality has been described as sludge violence or stoner boogie, will release a new EP on February 22, 2025. Since their 2017 album "SULPHUR PUSHER," they have released a few songs for distribution works, but this physical work was completed three years after its conception. Even today, when many cultures are becoming more sophisticated, one of the pleasures they seek is a primitive, physical band sound. The fact that the result of their daily struggle to do as they please can also be a pleasure for a horse-bone like myself can be called a sublimation effect. The three members of the band were Teshirogi, who started talking quietly but gradually overflowed with passion, Weda, whose drumming was soaring with the audience that he became in a state of self-spa, and Hoshi, who kept supporting the guitarist with his thick bass even after the guitarist started playing lead, and who cried at the launch of the show. The guitar hero Shoji, whose origins lie in arena rock, has been replaced by Yoshitani, whose origins lie in the heavy metal of the 1990s and later, in the Texan and New Orleans bands. Yoshitani, who was brought in to replace the six-string monster who pretended to be a normal person, can play quite well as a matter of course, and since he also liked fastcore, he brings new nourishment to OiDAKi's worldview without destroying it, which is very encouraging. This work, titled "Onikobe," begins with an unexpected surprise attack, and then, despite the addition of new elements such as beats and creepy noises that have not been used much up to now, the song structure is surprisingly free from redundancy or unreasonableness, whether because of repeated arranging or as a result of training. or the result of their training, the composition of the songs is surprisingly free from redundancy or strain. The result of the one-shot recording, which was done as in the past, also shows a sharpened awareness, leading one to expect more faithful reproductions and further explosions of expressive power in the field. The final track is an unexpected cover of traditional Colombian music from South America, transforming the song into a brightness different from that of the original. Once again, with its highly addictive refrain and phrasing, one cannot help but feel the evolution from a secret festival to a strange one. Currently, I would like to believe that what you get is a pleasant sensation when you join the line of Northern yet Southern Crashing Blues practitioners at 1/4 SDC in terms of location.
