THE STRANGE GIRLS, a LO-FI indie band formed in New Zealand in 1999, has released a compilation of songs and live recordings from their early days as a trio on the Swedish record store and label DISCREET MUSIC's archive division It is a compilation of songs and live recordings from the trio's early days, released on FORDAMING ARKIV, the archive division of DISCREET MUSIC, a Swedish record shop and label, featuring influences from NZ underground legends such as THE DEAD C and PETER JEFFERIES, as well as downbeat, lo-fi noise rock that echoes 90s US indie bands like BARDO POND and SEBADOH. It is lo-fi noise rock.
