Description:
Only 100 copies were pressed in 1979, and this album is electric acid folk-rock with wonderful melodies and harmonies. As Sauter himself recalls, "It was going to be a baroque folk-rock sound without drums. I originally wanted to do it with a string quartet, and I still do. Instead, I combined acoustic guitar and bass, Mike Tedesco's impassioned lead, and Elise Clark's classical flute solo. She also did most of the backing vocals. Mike was also a great backup vocalist, especially on "Old Friends," my favorite on the album. Love Made A Fool" was written for a small chamber orchestra, with a symphonic break in the middle. The lyrics of "Feathers" were so wonderfully cohesive that they inspired me to write the melody for this intense song about the struggles of being a young songwriter. Mike Vale had the original idea for "Why Must You Hide," and I wrote the lyrics.I love the baroque feel of this song and it inspired the style of the entire album." Limited edition of 500 copies on black vinyl with lyric insert.
