Tokyo's THE ERECTiONS will release a new EP, "STAND FIRM, STAND PROUD" on JOE POGO RECORDS. For over 20 years, THE ERECTiONS has been 100% Oi!punk. Especially Kentaro has been singing that "Oi!" is his way of life for over 20 years. This new EP has 4 songs, 2 from ERECTiONS on the A side and 2 covers on the B side like THE DISCOCKS - CLASS OF '94 EP. This is the CLASS OF '24! The title track "STAND FIRM, STAND PROUD" reminds me of EVIL CONDUCT! The moment I heard the chorus, I was singing along even if I didn't know the lyrics. lol The other song on the A-side is "REAL NOW", which they first recorded over 10 years ago. This is another catchy song that could have been a DISCOCKS song, with the POGO dance while yelling Oi!Oi! The B-side features two covers.The first song is THE PARTISANS' classic I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!, everyone loves this song, don't they?I know KENTARO loves THE PARTISANS, but when I hear this song, I can't help thinking that it perfectly describes NAKACHIN (lol). Another cover song is WHAT THE HELL by OXYMORON! I know not many people remember this song, but it is a great song and I hope more people will listen to it. FUCK THE 20's HERE'S THE ERECTiONS' NOIZE! I first heard THE ERECTiONS over 15 years ago, but listening to their new EP in 2024, I get the same feeling I got when I first heard their Oi! Oi! MUSIC for the first time. They have been playing NOiSE FOR THE BOYS for over 20 years. They weren't lying when they said "Oi! IS ALIVE, IT WILL NEVER DIE."
