Born in Scotland, singer-songwriter Stephen Hall—known as NIROSTASTEEL—survived the magnetic field where experimental music, post-punk, and disco intersected in downtown New York. He formed a deep friendship with the legendary cellist and songwriter Arthur Russell and has served as a spiritual pillar of the scene, leading ARTHUR’S LANDING, which carries on Russell’s legacy. This 2026 double-LP compilation features tracks carefully selected from nearly 40 years of unfinished archives. It features 17 tracks in total, including the energetic dance number “ENGLISHPARTY” written for Madonna; the sensual deep house track “BOSSTRIX (BENNY’S SONG)”; the industrial funk track “ YHEMA," and the jazz-pop track "GOFORTHENIGHT," a collaboration with Arthur Russell that showcases the brilliance of ARTHUR’S LANDING—among a total of 17 tracks. Sexy disco, intimate cloud folk, and post-rave sauna wave ebb and flow throughout. The SIDEC features two tracks from an extended acoustic session with Russell—an extremely rare document where Buddhist meditation and pop music intersect. A treasure trove where the experimental spirit and pop sensibility nurtured in New York’s underground scene continue to shine with undimmed brilliance.
