Description:
Second album by UK-based jazz crossover unit to be released on LP! The unit is led by Samy Abboud, leader of the French electronica unit M.A Beat! Ghost In The Tapes released their last album "Happily Confused" in 2020 and moved their base to London in 2021. The album was produced at the Total Refreshment Center, a studio and community space that has led the London jazz scene and has produced Shabaka Hutchings, Yusef Kamaal, Nubya Garcia, Emma Jean Thackray, and others.Alabaster Deplume from London, Danalogue from The Comet Is Coming, Matt Gedrych from Emma-Jean Thackray, harpist Marysia Osu from Laura Misch, and others, as well as collaborators from the East Coast rap scene in the U.S. In addition to Matt Gedrych of Ma-Jean Thackray and Marysia Osu, a harpist with Laura Misch, and PremRock, a collaborator with Armand Hammer who leads the East Coast trap scene in the U.S., Ermhoi and Julia Shortreed from Japan participate. The album is a masterpiece with a diverse sound that incorporates various approaches such as post-punk, classical, jazz, drum'n'bass, trip-hop, Japanese folk and ambient music, and beats that crossover between electronic music and live instruments.
