To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s first live album, *Sinatra at the Sands*, the Sinatra Estate and UMe are releasing a 5-CD set featuring the complete recordings of five previously unreleased performances from the Las Vegas shows that produced the highly acclaimed original 2-LP set. *Sinatra at the Sands: 60th Anniversary* features performances held from January 26 to February 1, 1966. Larry Walsh, Sinatra’s longtime engineer, handled the mixing and mastering from the original 4-track remote tapes. The set comes in a collector’s-edition digipak featuring a cover design inspired by a vintage Sinatra concert poster from that era. In addition, the 48-page booklet includes new liner notes by Charlie Pignone, president of Frank Sinatra Enterprises; numerous comments from eyewitnesses of the era; detailed track information featuring the band members for the first time; as well as rare photographs capturing Sinatra backstage with bandleader Count Basie and the young arranger Quincy Jones, Sinatra preparing for a performance, and Sinatra on stage delivering one of the finest performances of his long career. *Sinatra at the Sands: 60th Anniversary* also includes numerous alternate takes and alternative performances of Sinatra’s classic songs, including “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Come Fly with Me,” and “One for My Baby.”
