(Additionally, tenor saxophonist Pharoah Sanders and an extra drummer, Rashid Ali, were added.) *Meditations* elevates Coltrane’s spiritual jazz to higher realms of energy and abstraction—it is a powerful testament to the transformation, intensity, and dedication found in Coltrane’s recorded legacy.
