Primal Scream’s 2000 Release “XTRMNTR” Expanded Edition (Red Vinyl) Primal Scream is releasing each album from their innovative and experimental “Bunker Trilogy” for the first time as expanded editions. Between 1997 and 2002, Primal Scream released three albums—*Vanishing Point*, *XTRMNTR*, and *Evil Heat*—marking the boldest and most influential period in the band’s history. Recorded primarily at the studio built by Andrew Innes and Bobby Gillespie in North London and dubbed “The Bunker,” these albums pushed the boundaries of rock, electronica, dub, and industrial music in a way that only they could. From 1994’s *Give Out But Don’t Give Up* through *Vanishing Point*, Primal Scream deconstructed the very concept of a rock band, stripping everything down—through a radically new creative approach—to the band’s essential core: namely the songwriting partnership and musical vision of Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes. Recorded at “The Bunker” between 1997 and 2002 and newly remastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios in London under the supervision of Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes, this collection represents the definitive version of the band’s revolutionary sonic experiments. This “XTRMNTR” Expanded Edition includes not only the original tracks but also a selection of B-sides and rare recordings, along with liner notes by renowned writer Daran Anderson.
