Bruno Pernadas, Portugal's visionary artist, releases his highly anticipated 2026 new work 'unlikely, maybe'! Composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Bruno Pernadas. His body of work, which blends jazz, improvisation, Latin, exotica, and the experimental spirit of electronic music, has been described as "a sound like the suitcase of a record collector returning from a world tour turned upside down*," garnering passionate support from rock and indie fans to world music enthusiasts. He is undoubtedly one of the leading contemporary artists representing Portugal. His new album, released by Pataca Discos and his first in four years, was recorded in the summer of 2025. It features nine original tracks blending rhythm section, brass, woodwinds, vocals, and electronics. As with his previous work, Bruno handles many roles—writing lyrics, composing, and producing—except for one track co-written with Rita Westwood, a regular collaborator on his projects. Meanwhile, the previously released tracks "Steady Grace" and "Juro que vi tulipas" offer a glimpse into Bruno's new artistic vision. A defining feature is the presence of guest vocalists. Maya Brandi lends her voice to "Juro que vi tulipas," alongside Leonor Arnaut and Brazilian artist Livia Nestrovski. Longtime collaborator Margarida Campelo's keyboards and vocals also add accents to the overall sound.
