Legendary progressive rock band Yes returns with their first new album in nearly three years, *Aurora* (2LP+2CD+Blu-ray) Yes, featuring Steve Howe, Jeff Downs, John Davison, Billy Sherwood, and Jay Schellen, presents their 24th studio album, *Aurora*. This release comes approximately three years after their previous hit album, *Mirror to the Sky*, which reached No. 1 on the UK Progressive Albums Chart and No. 4 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart. Comment from Steve Howe: The process of making this album was a joy—an opportunity to play, explore, and devote ourselves entirely to the music. Collaboration has always been at the heart of our work. While one person might write a song, it isn’t truly a Yes song unless everyone contributes. We aren’t trying to simply repeat the past. We’re moving the spirit of Yes forward and transforming it into something new. When Yes first began sketching out the ideas that would later become *Aurora*, the process was free and exploratory. There was no preconceived concept at the outset—only a collection of musical fragments. Gradually, these fragments found each other and began to take shape. Among the early ideas was a track titled “Aurora,” and it soon became clear that the name held a particular resonance. It evoked values that resonated deeply with the band: light, emergence, and a sense of vastness. John Davison revealed, “The title immediately struck a chord with Steve Howe and sparked visual inspiration for artist Roger Dean, setting the conceptual direction that would guide the project.” (1/2)
