The notorious extreme metal titan Cradle Of Filth released their second EP, 'Cradle to Enslave', in 1999. This British band, infamous for its brutal yet decadent worldview, constructs a theatrical soundscape. Formed in Suffolk, England in 1991, they began with a sound rooted in black metal before evolving into a unique style incorporating gothic and symphonic elements. Their second album, 'Dusk and Her Embrace' (1996), cemented their reputation as a seminal work, and they have continued to release material that successfully blends gothic metal and extreme metal elements. This second EP, *Cradle to Enslave*, is a crucial work where the band sharpened their distinctiveness and took a step towards the musicality they would later establish.
