Hayato Kakuno's long-awaited new album Hayato Kakuno's new album "CHOPIN ORBIT" is centered around one of Kakuno's most important composers, Frédéric Chopin. New compositions by Kakuno will be included on the album as a pair with Chopin's compositions that inspired him, alternating between Chopin's works and Kakuno's reactions.In addition to Kakuno's new compositions, the album also pairs Chopin with other composers Kakuno admires, such as Ades, Godowsky, and Janacek, to show how resonance with Chopin's music has traced a path through the ages, allowing listeners to freely wade through two worlds, old and new, and immerse themselves in an ever-evolving musical space The work is intended to allow listeners to freely wander between the two worlds, the old and the new, and immerse themselves in an evolving musical space. One of the highlights of the album is a pair of polonaises, Chopin's "Fantasy Polonaise" and Hayato Kakuno's new polonaise, "Imagination," in the second half of the album. Chopin sublimated the honor of his homeland, Poland, as well as his writhing longing and patriotism, into the Polonaise.Kakuno took a fresh look at the "Polonaise Fantastique," focusing on its free and rhapsodic conception, and while using the groove of the polonaise as a basis, he composed the polonaise "Fancy" inspired in important parts by the sounds, sights, and dances of the Japanese festivals of his childhood, unforgettable even in Western lands far from his homeland in Japan, and succeeded in creating a work that is well worth listening to.
