Pelican made a triumphant return in 2025 with their album Flickering Resonance. They have now released a 12-inch EP containing four tracks. It includes the vocal version of "Cascading Crescent," the lead single from Flickering Resonance, featuring Geoff Rickly of Thursday. The EP's title track, "Ascending," was recorded during the album sessions but ultimately left off the album, remaining as a standalone track with its own distinct presence. Compiling these four songs into one EP reaffirms that Pelican's free-spirited approach remains central to their exploration across every genre they delve into.
