Living legend Willie Nelson's 154th and latest album, "Oh What A Beautiful World". Willie Nelson's 77th solo album and 154th studio album, "Oh What A Beautiful World". This latest album focuses entirely on the work of American singer/songwriter Rodney Crowell. The relationship between Willie Nelson and Rodney Crowell, both from Texas, began in the mid-1960s when Crowell heard Nelson's songs on the radio and saw him live in Houston, and they began interacting frequently. Nelson first recorded Crowell's songs in 1983, and now, 40 years later, they are being recorded again. Produced by Nelson's longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, the album features Nelson's vocals, a "Trigger" guitar tone, and an excellent backing band. The album features the title track, "What A Beautiful World," a duet between Nelson and Crowell, early songs like 1976's "Banks Of The Old Bandera" (Jerry Jeff Walker) and 1981's "Shame On The Moon" (Bob Seger), as well as a number of newer songs like "What Kind Of Love" ( The 12 tracks on this album include early songs like "Jerry Jeff Walker" (Jerry Jeff Walker) and 1981's "Shame On The Moon" (Bob Seger), 90's songs like "What Kind Of Love" (based on a Roy Orbison melody and co-written with Will Jennings), and even 2000's songs written for Keith Urban and Tim McGraw.
