The second release of DKAM's "Haydn: London Symphonies" features four symphonic masterpieces from the composer's most mature period, including the "astonishing" No. 94. All of them are Järvi's first recordings. This album is also the 20th anniversary release of Järvi's appointment as Artistic Director of DKAM. Järvi and DKAM first collaborated in 1995, and Järvi became Artistic Director in 2004. Over the course of nearly 30 years, they have recorded the complete symphonic works of Beethoven, Schumann, and Brahms, captivating audiences around the world with their innovative interpretations that get to the heart of the works. The latest project by this renowned duo is Haydn's "London Symphonies" (Nos. 93-104), a collection of 12 symphonies. This project is realized in response to Järvi's desire to "reintroduce to the world with DKAM the wit and humor contained in Haydn's symphonies, as well as their concise and skillful orchestrations."
